There are 1.2 million key workers in London and in most cases, they cannot afford to live in the communities they serve. Even the highest-paid key workers struggle to find housing in most London boroughs.
Key workers are arguably the hardest working taxpayers in society, yet many face soul-destroying commutes of up to 60 miles or 3 hours every single day, simply to reach the communities they protect, heal, and teach.
The Key was founded to reverse this outward migration, applying Environmental, Social & Governance principles to deliver affordable housing within a mile of where key workers are needed most.
